How Do You Turn a Google Doc into a PDF for Printing?
Use page setup, export the Google Doc as a PDF, then inspect the saved file before uploading it for printing.

Short answer
Set the Google Doc to the layout you intend to print, download it as a PDF, then open the saved PDF and check every page before uploading. A shared Google Doc link is not the same as a print-ready file.
Should you use Pages or Pageless mode?
For printing, use a paged layout so you can check where page breaks, headers, footers and margins appear.
Pageless editing can be useful on screen, but a print order needs a physical page layout.
How do you choose the right page layout?
Set paper size, margins and orientation before downloading. Check that tables, images and bilingual text still fit.
If the file will be A4, prepare the document as A4 rather than relying on scaling later.
How do you save the PDF?
Use the document's download or export option to create a PDF, then open the downloaded file from your device.
Do not assume the browser view and downloaded PDF match exactly. The PDF is the version to inspect.
What happens when the document changes afterwards?
A downloaded PDF is a snapshot. If someone edits the Google Doc later, export a new PDF and check it again.
Give the file a clear name so you do not upload an older version by mistake.
